Privacy Policy

To provide and keep improving the service, we collect the following data when you use WeiChen Studio:

• Account data: name/nickname, email address, password (stored encrypted).
• Learning data: course watch history, assignment and artwork uploads, learning progress, and coaching interactions.
• Transaction data: subscription plan, purchase history, and payment status (card numbers are handled by our payment providers; we never store full card numbers).
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar usage statistics.
• Digital Art Clinic: video and screen recordings of the session (every session is recorded, and you must agree before booking), the age statement you make when booking (we only record whether you are under 18, not your birth date), and, for students under 18, the legal guardian's name and email.

We use your data only to the extent necessary, for purposes including:

• Providing and maintaining courses, livestreams, the Growth Plan, and membership services.
• Offering personalized course suggestions and artwork feedback based on your learning stage.
• Processing payments and sending course notifications, service announcements, and newsletters (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• Showing your member identity on the video while it plays, to protect copyright.
• Analyzing usage to improve the product experience and content quality.
• Session recordings are used to keep a record of the consultation and attendance, to let you review it within the viewing period, and to resolve service disputes. They are not made public or used in meetups or promotion unless you separately opt in to sharing.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and analyze traffic. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working properly.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with necessary third-party providers only in the following cases:

• Payment providers: to process subscription and course payments.
• Cloud and email providers: to store data and send notification emails.
• When required by law, or when necessary to protect rights and interests, in cooperation with the competent authorities.

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. Personal data is kept for as long as the service requires; after you delete your account, we remove or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where the law provides otherwise.

Session recording retention: you can watch your recording online on your clinic page for 90 days from the day the upload is finished (online viewing only; downloads are not available). We keep it for 6 months from that day, or 12 months if the booked student is under 18, and then delete it automatically, including the file in storage. If a dispute, appeal or complaint is open, we keep it until 30 days after it is closed. You can ask for early deletion at any time; we will do so when there is no dispute, and tell you why if we have to wait.

Regarding your personal data, you may exercise the following rights:

• Request access, review, or a copy.
• Request additions or corrections.
• Request deletion, or that we stop collecting, processing, or using it.
• Unsubscribe from newsletters and marketing messages at any time.

This service is intended primarily for adult creators. If you are under the legal age, please use it with the consent and company of a legal guardian; we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Exception for the Digital Art Clinic: when booking you state whether you are under 18 (a self-declared age that we cannot verify). Students under 18 need a legal guardian's consent and must give the guardian's name and email; the recording notice emails also go to the guardian, and we keep the recording for 12 months. A legal guardian can write to us to ask to access, correct or delete a minor's data.

We may revise this policy in response to legal or service changes. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email, and the last-updated date on this page will be refreshed.

The Chinese version of this policy is authoritative; other language versions are provided for reference only, and in case of any discrepancy the Chinese version prevails.
